Today is DD’s eleventh birthday. We began by making cupcakes this morning before she left for school.
She wants ice cream cone cupcakes for the sleepover with her friends this evening. I made cake batter using the directions on a white cake box mix, divided the batter into three parts, and colored the batter green, [...]
This evening we had a wonderful time at our annual Home Extension Christmas party. Everyone brought an appetizer or a dessert. Delicious!
Before (and after!) dinner, touring the house to view the Christmas trees was at the top of everyone’s list. Then it was time for some sit down chat.

Last evening’s dinner party was wonderful. The menu included:
crackers and cheese spread (I left out the chicken.)
pear/walnut salad
roast beef (Delicious! Got rave reviews.)
boiled red potatoes
carrots and parsnips
stir-fried sugar snap peas with cherry tomatoes
almond cake for dessert
Three of the guests came at 7:00, and the others about 7:30, after other obligations. Everyone congregates in the kitchen [...]
This evening my home extension group came over for our annual Christmas party. The weather was cold and cloudy all day. Around 4:00 p.m., we began to get a little sleet and some freezing rain. A few women had to cancel as they live out of town and didn’t want to risk the roads, [...]
