On New Year’s Eve DD and I stayed up till midnight, watching movies and having snacks. 🙂 At midnight DH joined us to pull crackers. DD tried all the toys…

A few days later, Niko joined her as she practiced guitar.

Tonight, after DD’s last basketball game of the season, we had supper at a Mexican restaurant we’ve never tried before. The place didn’t look like much on the outside, but the food was very good! We topped off a yummy meal with fried ice cream.

We said goodbye to our two older daughters today as they returned to school. It was sad to see them go, but we had a great time while they were here. They were a wonderful help, too, along with Genny, in taking down a lot of the Christmas decorations. Thanks, girls! And thanks, Genny!

Rhonda, I’m a long time fan of yours and Christmas Notebook. I have to ask where you got that horse stable (behind your daughter in the photo in which she is playing guitar). My three little ones would love it! Thank you so much for all you do!

Caroline, thank you for your kind comments. The horse barn was purchased through a toy catalog we receive in the mail. We bought it three or four years ago. I will have wait to tell you where we bought it till we receive another catalog…can’t remember the name of it right now.

The stable is in three sections. The roofs lift off each section. There are wooden corral fences, too. It is very well made except for one thing. The door hinges and latches were flimsy and came apart quickly. Perhaps they have remedied that by now. DD loves it and plays with it a lot.

If you know someone handy with woodworking, here are plans for building one that looks very similar, though it is all one piece, instead of three.
