menu plan monday ~ january 17, 2011

We begin a new week still feeling under the weather. DD has a return of her head cold and I am still favoring my left leg which is healing from an infection. But we plug away…DD is curled up in the library with her school work and a warm blanket and I am doing some computer work, then will finish lesson plans and assignment sheets for the week.

I’ve made the menu, but we’ll see how the week unfolds. The menu isn’t set in stone. We try to be flexible. We may substitute something else, may have a carry-out, or may switch days around, depending on how the day pans out, what we “feel” like eating, etc. But having a plan sure does make grocery shopping and dinner-getting a lot easier than without a plan. Do yourself a favor and plan a menu!

Everyting looks so yummy. I love homemade pizza and I appreciate you posting your crust recipe. I like to try others:D
I’m still trying to adjust to just cooking for two. Wow, that chicken makes my mouth water!

I think I need to follow your advice and do a weekly meal plan. Right now I’ve got chicken breast thawing with no idea of what to do with them 🙂 I hope you and your daughter feel better soon!

Catherine, there’s so much you can do with chicken. We’re having stir fry since we didn’t have it last night. But chicken soup sounds good, too…I’ve been craving some good soup. Must be this cold that managed to find me. ~~Rhonda

The picture of the homemade pizza does not look the same as the pizza braid you have linked the picture to. Is this a different recipe ?

Mary, it’s the same dough recipe, but made as a flat pizza. Good eye! 🙂 Also, I don’t add egg to the dough when I make it. ~~Rhonda
