menu plan monday ~ november 15, 2010

We’ve been busy around here, with Christmas decorating and cookie baking. DD spent a few days at her older sister’s house, so I had Thursday/Friday with no homeschooling. That meant I had time to catch up on cookie baking. I made Sour Cream Sugar Cookies, Sugar Cookie Crisps, Elfin Bites, Chocolate Peppermint Shortbread Cookies, Chocolate Cream Truffles, Peanut Butter Truffles, Date Balls, and I made the dough for the Icebox Oatmeal Cookies. Haven’t baked the oatmeal cookies yet. Maybe tomorrow. A lot done, but a lot more to do!

We’re going to try a new recipe this week for Shrimp and Corn Chowder. I’ll let you know how it works out.

If you need some objective opinions on the shrimp and corn chowder let me know!! How on earth do you get that many cookies done…..even if you have two days. Amazing.

Laurie, tell Gary I made peanut butter cup cookies today. I’ll set a few back for him. 🙂 And come on over, there will be plenty of chowder!

I would love to see your crock pot lasagna recipe. Your menu for this week sounds so good.

Sheena, thanks for leaving a comment. I will try to remember to take pictures as I make the lasagna, then post the recipe to the blog. At it’s easiest, you can layer spaghetti sauce, broken lasagna noodles and cheese several times in the crock pot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. I have my own cheese blend recipe and will include that. ~~Rhonda
