Every year, about this time, I find these on the kitchen table.
While the grands were here this weekend, they made good use of the basil seeds. Rose Red had made a planter from an egg carton and craft supplies.
Pa helped her plant it with basil.
Snow White planted her seeds in a flower pot.
It’s a joy to have the grands near enough to see them often. They will be back in a week or two with their parents to help take down the last of the Christmas decorations. It’s always a hurry to get Christmas up and not so much of a hurry to take it down. 🙂
I’ve had the menu made since Monday, but am finally finishing this post on Wednesday. Sometimes, that’s the way it goes. I’ve been having fun working on soldered ornaments instead. But, here’s what we’re planning to have this week.
Monday
Chicken Parmesan Bake
Steamed Veggies
Harvest Grain Bread
It was the first time I’ve made the Parmesan Chicken Bake recipe and it was take-it-or-leave-it for me, but everyone else liked it. The leftovers would be great in soup, but, for now, they’re going to stay leftovers. If there are any left…may all be gone by now.
Tuesday
Chicken Tortellini Soup
Wednesday
Hamburgers
Homemade Buns
Oven Fried Potato Wedges
Thursday
Alton Brown’s Pot Roast
Roasted Red Potatoes and Carrots
Green Salad
Friday
Boneless Turkey in the Crock Pot
Rice
Steamed Brussels Sprouts
Saturday
Fridge Food
Sunday
Rosemary Ranch Chicken
Fettuccine Florentine
Green Salad
Harvest Grain Bread
You can find many menu ideas at Menu Plan Monday.
