Yesterday afternoon, DH and I drove north to visit with my parents and two of my sisters. We took Dad out to eat, in celebration of Father’s Day. We sat at the restaurant for an hour and a half. A good visit and some interesting talk with Dad about his passion, Civil War history. On the way home, we watched a beautiful sunset develop with storm clouds.
Last week, several of the menu items fell by the wayside as life took over. So we’re repeating some of those. DD is helping with VBS this week, so she’ll have supper there. Meals are items that can be easily eaten as leftovers, for the most part.

i love civil war history. went back to school 3 years ago. i’m a double major us history/southern american studies and minor in religion….loving it!
Cherylann, I just got off the phone talking to my dad about the Civil War, among other things. 🙂 He has quite a collection of guns, paperwork, and other memorabilia. He gives talks to Civil War groups. It’s his favorite hobby. He is very interested in how horses and mules were used during the war. ~~Rhonda 🙂
