tiny-mini putz house

This Putz house is made from the same pattern I used for the Putz featured in the previous blog post. That one was done in the MINI size. This one is done in the TINY MINI size, which means the original pattern was copied at 50% of its original size. This makes a very small Putz house.

The base is made from an upcycled Christmas card. The three tiny snowmen seemed just right for a TINY MINI Putz house base.

I like to use the colors on the card to paint the houses. This card was unusual because it used so few colors. The blue is a grey blue. I chose two shades of that color. One lighter and more grey and one darker than the card and more blue. The grey is the main part of the house and the darker blue grey is the roof. I used the red for the front door bumpout and for the fence to give more interest and a bit of vibrancy.

The back of the Putz has the traditional hole for the use of a small LED light string for lighting the house.

Two puffs of smoke come with the house. They are not permanently attached, so they are optional. They just tuck into the top of the chimney, if the fireplaces are being used.

The little snowman is 1/2″ tall.

This Putz is one of my favorite patterns, in any size, but the TINY MINI size is so sweet! I love making this size. I currently have twelve TINY MINI Putz in my Etsy shop, including a church, two barns, a schoolhouse, and Putz houses from different patterns.

I am always happy to answer questions about the process. Please ask, if you are wondering about the details of putzing!

All proceeds from my Etsy shop benefit Kenya Mercy Ministries. They work with the urban poor of Nairobi, Kenya, particularly the children and their families who live in Kibera, the largest slum in Africa. Thank you for your part in helping these children when you purchase items from my shop!
