Scotch Shortbread
Sandy and crumbly, as the perfect shortbread should be.
1/2 pound butter (1 cup or two sticks; do not substitute margarine)
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
