This cupboard belonged to DH's grandparents. I use the drawer and the doors below to store the items needed to wrap gifts. We use it as a gift wrap center year round, but it is essential at Christmas time. The dining room table is just to the left in this picture and it makes the ideal place to wrap presents.
The base for this tree is a styrofoam cone that was spray painted gold. I hot-glued all kinds of little objects to it, then glued the whole thing to a turntable and sprayed it all gold. How many items can you spy?
We used fabric and liquid starch to decorate DD1998's room with penguins playing in the snow. Thanks to the military wives/moms on the Christmas Notebook list who sparked this idea after a discussion of using starch to adhere fabric to walls as wallpaper.
DH took these pictures before he took down the pie plates, so he would know how to put them back up. :) Each fall we take them all down, wash them, change the curtains to Christmas curtains, and put the plates back up. I have about ten pie plates that are not up here. No room.
